Marc Edge, Principal
Mr. Marc Edge is a lifelong resident of Bladen County and a proud product of Bladen County Schools, where he attended Elizabethtown Primary School, Clarkton School of Discovery, and East Bladen High School.
Mr. Edge completed his undergraduate degree in Communications at North Carolina State University. After graduation he found his way into education through participating in a volunteer mentoring program at East Bladen High School. He decided to combine his love for visual arts and passion for inspiring young people to become a visual arts teacher. He pursued his Master’s of Teaching in Art Education at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Upon completion of this program, Mr. Edge taught visual arts and coached high school soccer at West Columbus High School for seven years. He was offered the opportunity to participate in the Sandhills Regional Education Consortium: Principal Development Program where he obtained his School Administration License through the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. While in the program, he was able to work in an administrative capacity at Tabor City Middle School, Whiteville High School, and Bladenboro Primary School. He made his way to Bladen County Schools as a teacher at Elizabethtown Middle School before being named Assistant Principal of Bladenboro Primary School. Then, Mr. Edge was afforded the opportunity to serve the students of Dublin Primary School as Principal. Now, he has the opportunity to lead and serve one of his alma mater schools, Clarkton School of Discovery!
Sandra Evans, Assistant Principal
Sandra Holland Evans, Ed.D is the Assistant Principal at Clarkton School of Discovery and Bladenboro Primary Schools. She is a former teacher, district health coordinator, K-8 district curriculum supervisor, and assistant principal. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she obtained her Ed.D, and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where she received her undergraduate and Masters degrees. Dr.Evans believes high expectations for all students are the key to success in all schools and districts.
