Due to the threat of inclement weather, the special-called meeting of the Bladen
County Board of Education originally scheduled for Monday, March 16, has been
rescheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 6:30 PM, in the boardroom at the District Administration Building.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and take action on seeking the closing
date of East Arcadia School. There will be no other items on the agenda.

Due to the threat of severe weather in our area and out of an abundance of caution, Bladen County Schools will transition to an asynchronous remote learning day for students and an optional workday for staff tomorrow, Monday, March 16.
Asynchronous learning means that students will work independently on assignments that teachers have either posted in Canvas or Google Classroom.
Staff will receive information about the optional workday from their supervisors later this evening.
All after-school events and activities are cancelled for Monday, March 16. Additionally, the special-called Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday has been postponed until Tuesday, March 17, at 6:30 PM.

Big shoutout to the CSD Blue Devils — our Blue Devils represented us proudly at the Region 4 Science Fair at UNC Pembroke today. Congratulations to Zariah Dill for 1st Place in the Junior Chemistry division, and to Nora Bridgers for placing in the Top 5 of the Elementary Division. Both students will compete at the state science fair next month at NC State University — go make us proud! 🔬🎉
