We're embarking on an exciting journey to develop our next strategic plan, and we want YOU to be part of it! With North Carolina's new state strategic plan recently released, now is the perfect time to ensure our local priorities align with state goals while reflecting what matters most to OUR community.
We need YOUR voice!
Whether you're a parent, student, staff member, or community member, your input is invaluable. We've created a survey that asks:
What priorities matter most to you for our students?
Which focus areas should guide our work over the next 3-5 years?
Are you interested in serving on our strategic planning committee?
📱 Take the Survey: Available now through Friday, January 23
🔗 Access the survey at the link below.

Asynchronous learning means that students will work independently on assignments that teachers have either posted in Canvas, Google Classroom, or will be sending home with students tomorrow, Friday, January 23. Staff will receive information regarding work schedule from their supervisors.
Additionally, all school buildings and district departments will be closed and there will be no events or activities held on Monday. A decision regarding school operations for Tuesday, January 27, will be made no later than 8 pm on Monday, January 26.
We appreciate your cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff, and we encourage everyone to closely monitor all communication channels for additional updates.
Please stay warm!

Our Clarkton School of Discovery Rock Detectives had an exciting day at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Whiteville! Students explored Earth’s history, examined real fossils, and dug into big ideas like the geologic timeline, and the law of superposition.
They even got to create mold fossils and dig for their own fossils to take home as souvenirs! 🔍✨
We’re so proud of their curiosity, teamwork, and love for science. CSD is rocking Earth history, one discovery at a time! 🌍💛

We are so thankful for all of our students who participated and helped bring Christmas cheer, creativity, and learning into the halls of Clarkton School of Discovery. Way to shine! 🎁🎄

💡 Did you know? Regular physical activity helps improve focus, behavior, and academic performance in students.
We are excited to launch our new Healthy Active Kids: Yoga Anatomy Adventure Elective at Clarkton School of Discovery this spring! 🧘♀️🧠
We are thankful for our partnership with Four County EMC and the support of their Bright Ideas Grant, which helps bring innovative opportunities like this to our students and community.
Thank you, Four County EMC, for investing in our kids and their future! 💙
