Flyer titled “How are smartphones and digital devices in schools affecting our kids?” Bladen County Schools are participating in the NC Phones & Tech in Schools study. Study details: purpose—learn about impacts of student tech use; where—in school; eligibility—children in grades 6–8 in a participating school; activities—three surveys over one year (Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Fall 2026). Note: this is research, not treatment. A box labeled “Confidential!” states survey responses will be totally private and final results will not name any individual child or school. Another box explains the study is a partnership between UNC and the NC Legislature to support students and inform policy. Through the district’s Beginning Teacher program, these educators will continue to receive guidance, resources, and encouragement throughout their first three years in the classroom — because great teaching grows with great support.
